New TJIRC 2.5m Wazzup build

Wow! 250mph?1? So with full ballast? I just got my ballast so next time it is a really windy day........ we shall see. LOL. At our site, I cannot not even get my D80 to 250mph, I got it to 233mph, and that was on a very windy day. But maybe someone a bit better at DS than me could I am sure. LOL.
Ill try for video next time. my friend had the gun so he could not shoot any video. Ill have to strap something to my head. Hahaha.

Looks like not so good wind this coming weekend, so will not be flying for a while.

Oh! I bet DS is AMAZING in the Alps!! Holy cow! Looks like it would be so smotth there on the backside! Make sure to post video of that!
I'll take care of the filming if you gimme a heads up

Second day in France, only light conditions so no DS (maybe the coming days)

Love it!

If you get a chance take a few picks of the slope and the wazzup collection you brought. :)

Last week we had only light/thermal conditions in France, so no Dark Side visits possible.
Last day we had a little breeze (3bft) on a moderate slope, a buddy did some F3f style flying with a WazzUp prototype

Ok. So we had great wind and direction yesterday, got to really put the test to the Wazzup and got it to 156mph. But had a catastrophe and one of the surfaces fluttered bad and turned the plane into the hill. Boom.
I’ll add a link for the video, it is too large to upload

Oh no that's a bummer. Sorry you lost the model.

Sorry to hear this Diceman.
Was it flutter at the wing or elevator?
I like to see the video and hope to analyse where it went wrong.

Ok. Here is the video. Nothing I could do once the flutter occurred, it went straight into to hill. I was close to the hill in the bottom of the turn to get into the groove here at the Slot. It is where the fastest line is. Again, this plane was not built for this, it is a great flying plane, but I was challanged to push it to see what it could do. I know it had a bit more, but my guess is one of the ailerons broke loose? It was a really loud flutter you can hear it at the bottom turn before impact clearly.

Ouch- Hate that sort of video. No time to react to that one.

You recovered the parts, right? Were the wing servos still attached to the wing skins?

It was such a hard impact the wings split and evrything came apart. I even found the spar in the sleeve just sitting by itself out of the wing. Both the front nose broke off and the whole entire tail broke off from the fuse. Just recovered the servos and got rid of the rest. Hopefully the servos are ok.
