BTW , I have about 1200 W of power on the propeller shaft.
I can look at references for guidelines on the expected possibilities of this setup.

so, if the tow plane takes 6 pounds, we have 6 pounds left for the glider
- Rule of thumb: at least 100W/pound (sailplane and tow plane weight combined!).
- This applies for electric, gas, or glow power.
- Tows with 70-90W/pound are possible, but require experienced tow an sailplane pilots
