I called the park and spoke to a ranger who said dogs are allowed but need to be on a leash and in control at all times. Bring lots of water and shade. It could be hot. There are no trees up top. What would you do with your dog while you are flying???

Yeah, I wasn't planning on bringing him initially and had arrangements for him but they fell through today. I do have other avenues but if I was in a pinch I was curious if it was a possibility. It wouldn't be optimal, but if it's emergent then at least I know not all hope is lost.
When I'm at Mussel Rock he basically just sits right next to where I'm standing when I'm flying. He's a super cool Golden and just likes to be around people, especially me, I guess. Ha.

I'll take a bit of credit for his good behavior as I've had him since he was 8 weeks old, but also, this is a Golden Retriever and he seems to be genetically programmed to please his owner. This guy was house trained in less than 2 weeks, he's trained to ring a bell when he wants to go outside, and if on the rare occasion he does something wrong he feels bad about disappointing his dad. I've had a lot of dogs and this is my first Golden. I don't think I'll ever get a different breed from this point on. They're the best. Are they a good guard dog? Hell no. Everyone is his best friend, including burglars.
That being said, you NEED a Dyson pet vacuum. He leaves a trail of hair everywhere he goes lol.

I'm interested. I definitely don't need a, "normal," restaurant. The weirder the better.Any interest in a group meal Saturday night after the flying? We did this last year and had some great conversations.
Will try to pick a more normal restaurant this year. If you have a suggestion, post up.

I think the, "weird," restaurant was Wool Growers. After some searching it looks like Espanas has decent reviews and a pretty big menu that should cover most everyone's tastes.
I can eat literally anything and so I don't have much skin in the game, but this might be decent:

Yeah... I Googled, "Best restaurants Los Banos," and that kept popping up. You gotta wonder about places that sell all kinds of different cuisine, but in this case I think it helps the cause as one guy might want an enchilada and the next a chicken sandwich. It also looks like a pretty big place and so I think it could fit us at a large table.I think Espanas is the plan. Looks to be large enough and great food reviews. What else would be needed?
