More servos/wiring!!/ weight/time, …granted flaps are very cool, …I opted not to onYes, true flaps, functions like a normal flapped model.
Fuselage pod is still a question mark. Prototype moving forward.iMO
The POD fuselage actually helps the isobars to be bunched in the mid-wing area, which is exactly what you want in a flying wing.
Winglets are not a good idea unless you get over 6M span.
Cheers,
Doc.How do I say “flaps are overkill” in a nice way.Having flaps or anything to help lose some energy on landing will be nice. That the one tough thing with the z1 is to remember to land before it gets too windy. Even up around 12mph it can be tough at places like sunset to lose enough speed to safely land.
It sure looks big in the photo doesn't it? We had the same thoughts. It appears to be bigger than the Z1. Is that the case or did miss it?
I know... Its on my list too nowcrap ..... im going to have to buy one of those
Prototype is together!!

We sent the prototype to Austria to have one of the two flying wing "gods" give the shake down build and feedback. But the first God does not seem to have a slot in his schedule, so checking in with the second God. If he is busy also, then I'm going to have the model sent to me and you all will just have to deal with a normal human messing around with the prototype. I don't want this model to collect dust. Mario has done a great job with the design and airfoils and VP did an excellent job bringing the design to life. She now needs to fly.
Looks awesome!Prototype is together!!
