I'm very excited to share a new manufacturer for Aloft, VP Model from the Czech Republic.
VP is a well known manufacturer in the EU where they have been selling the thermal gliders for a good long time. They have been perfecting their craft over the years and teaming up with some great folks to help push their airframes even further.
Starting with wonderfully cut XPS foam cores, they then add the selected material and using extreme bagging skills you get a light, strong structure that is ready to perform. Joining these bagged wings and tails are very nice carbon fuselages. Typically the fuselages for bagged planes are not very good, but these are really nice!
Why would you want to use vacuum bagging? It is a great method to produce a competitive airframe at a better price.
With models ranging from 1.5 meters all the way up to 3.8 meters.
There are about 3 companies producing models like these, and I'm happy to report that VP is known as the best and after receiving our first shipment today I can see why. Good stuff.
