Ok, it is that time of year again to announce the Camp n Fly event for 2024! May 4-5th! Mark it in your calanders and get campsites while you can at https://www.reservecalifornia.com/Web/Default.aspx
Search for Sunset SB to get the correct campground!
Wahoo!!! Lets me make this year the best one!

We are doing it a little differently this year. Making things easier for Jeremy, and giving you all a few new choices. Delivery will be to the event at the main camp, see us in site #36.

Any questions? Let me know.

Please share this info with other sites and make sure your no internet buddies that may be attending are aware.

Thanks!

Woohoo! I have camps 36 and 34 again. Nate is in 37.

Some info from last years post:
It is that time of year again to announce the Camp and Fly event and Sunset State Beach in Watsonville CA!!! Wahoo!! It will be May 4-5th in 2024!!! (Many people come even earlier.)

Make your reservations now if you would like to camp right at the event, here is the link for reservations: https://www.reservecalifornia.com/Web/ (search for Sunset SB)
You will want to stay in the 1 - 37 loop if possible as this is closer to the glider port we fly from.

There is also a hotel near by https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/wvi...s-watsonville/ that you can make reservations at as well! cool.gif

Please make you reservations now even if you are unsure, you can always cancel at a later date!! Or pass it on to someone else that is late to the game.

This is a slope event, so please leave all the powered planes at home. Bring very light planes to medium/heavy planes to make sure you have everything covered! There is usually a small swap meet, so bring planes if you would like to sell any and money in case you want to buy! smile.gif The parking lot on the way up to the hill is usually where people hang out to sell their planes.

There will be a POTLUCK BBQ (meaning bring something to contribute) on Saturday evening. Last year we did GREAT raffle give-a-way at the BBQ, and it is FREE!

Thank you all and see you all there!! biggrin.gif

I may make a couple little things, but going to take it easy this year. I have a ton of stuff to fly. Might bring a 30" version or 2 of a starfire. I had made a 24" for @Hawaii Sloper (starsqueek) but he said a little bigger would be easier on servo selection. Standard version was 48" that we flew last year.

Woot! I'll be there too. On the 4th YouTube vid, I see my 4 planes sitting on the foreground from the 2022 fly. I got the same campsite and planes (plus more) ready for the 2024 fly.

Btw; Someone flew a seagull type slope plane in 2022. It looked and flew like a real bird that I'd like to get one. Does anyone know about it and how I might get one?
