What a GREAT time! IMHO this was the best Sunset event ever! They just keep getting better and better.

First off, thanks to EVERYONE. It would be nothing if you all didn't come! The participants are what makes Sunset so special. Sunset has a magic blend of fun times, warm and friendly folks, and lots of food and and sharing. You are all the best of the best.

So to start off, here is how you pack a trailer for Sunset. You simply fill every space with models, here is the bathroom:

Bunkbeds:

And the rest of the space as well as the other vehicles:

Then you get there you pull it all out and head to the slope!

But don't forget to greet your fellow pilots on the way!

And you get this view from the trail, yes I am at the right place!!

More soon - Still playing catchup here at Aloft. :)

I know @Hawaii Sloper and I felt like we had way way more flying this time than ever before. Wind was great. I think bringing more of the lighter weight stuff helped for sure. Was crazy how many people we had at the raffle/dinner.

Combat was the most fun i have had i think at all the events. Im going to be looking for deals this year for "target" planes for next sunset. I think giving everyone a single target to head for really kept the group together and made it that more crazy.

This year Jarron and I built a pair of matching f-SST wings, but I messed up on the instructions again, mine flew better backwards.

Anyone get some better pictures of them?

Ah, many of us made the walk of shame...

Some of the raffle items. Best raffle ever! A lot of cool planes and goodies! We made many a happy pilot.

Plenty of great food too!

A great turnout at the banquet, this is maybe 70% of the pilots there on Saturday as many head home early. (Less competition at the raffle!!)

Again thank you all! I wish I had taken more photos. Looking forward to seeing what others captured.

We had a nice morning on the hill Sunday. Was lighter. Got to fly @RafaelAvila Dreamflight DLG and that seagull. Had a ton of fun flying the micro gentle lady about halfway back in the pilot area. Definitely need more micro balsa kits next year. Already marked an old LEG powered p51 and flitetest sea duck for next year's combat.

The micros sure are a blast when it's too light for anything else. I should have a couple new ones for next year.

I’ll have a couple Micros and an new/old Estes “Strato Blaster” ready for the next events. Watching the micros Sunday morning was a hoot!

I am so bummed I couldn’t make it. I had last minute house guests show up. I couldn’t bug out. It would have been “domestically incorrect”. Next year !

For the event @Hawaii Sloper and I wanted to get some gifts for those that we personally interact the most with in the forums and that have done nice things for us in the past so we did a run of engraved insulated coffee mugs. It was pretty hard to narrow it down to 7 people (plus one for raffle) so sorry if you didn't get one. But I did get a few people asking if they could buy one so i am thinking about putting them up for sale with the shirts next year if enough people are interested.

10^6 thanks Nathan , I'm honored !!!

Mug reports for duty !
