I heard rumor at sunset that Sheldon's moved to a new location? I think that was the shop??
Sheldon's moved from Trade Zone, five minutes from my house, to the Willow Glen area of San Jose. A very busy high traffic area with little parking. They'll get more foot traffic for sure, but might loose some hard core hobbyist. They had a nice large race/drift track in the back of the old building. Not sure if they will maintain that.

After feeling pretty left out of the combat session at Sunset when everyone was just laughing the whole time having a blast, I decided I needed a wing. I basically forgot that a while ago I bought a wing on RC Groups but I thought it was such a pile of crap that I just put it in the corner of my garage. I ended up ripping out all of the internals and hardware and had enough stuff laying around that I was able to put it back together without having to buy anything other than a receiver.

Looking forward to the next combat session. I'll be coming after you for sure.

going off topic!
Oh, a double decker Williams. I always liked the Williams machines. :) Spent my younger days working in arcades and restoring machines. I occasionally find myself looking for a couple of individual games I really liked in my youth. Gorgar is still high on my list. https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/gorgar
Sadly- even if I grabbed one I doubt it would see much use.

Gorgar is a great pin. Do it. I bet you could find a decent one for around 3k

I went and rejoined the local AMA club https://clearlakemodelers.net/
About 15 minutes from my place. Been a while since I went to it, used to be a member years ago. Figure it will be a good place to maiden the 2m t28 and it's the end of the year so the dues are prorated.

I remember last time most of the members were only interested in balsa models and didn't really had no interest in anything else. Guess we will see.

@Wayne did you guys find somewhere to go since the Petaluma one closed?

The local SAM club asked us to kit the 1950's TOMBOY design for their group build. No a lot to cut on these.

Will cut them out when we have a little time and they will build up a first model and see if we need to make some tweaks. It mostly a sick kit. We will probably print some of the 3D printed dummy engines to wrap around a small outrunner. They will be electrics and R/C.

Looks like we have a VR46 fan in the house!

One of the questions we get asked the most is: "What do you guys use to sand your planes and get that smooth finish?"
And another one that pops up from time to time: "What's that thing on top of the table? 😂"

So, we decided to turn it into a product!

Now, our sanding base — the same one we use in our workshop — is available for purchase on our website.
Simple, stable, and made for builders who care about clean, precise work. 🚀✂️
