SVOLAZZO V2 - VTPR

@thenated0g yes, I like it because it is flexible when dry, so it is homogeneous in terms of stiffness with balsa. And it can feel fill some gaps sometime.
I also use CA, but depends of my feeling. You guys don't use wood glue?

of course, here most popular is PONALexpress, it won't pop off after distortion.
I thought CA's is todays first choice. You can also add powder to fill gaps. Is there something for titebond like glues too?

Im fairly new to balsa style stick building. I started the hobby with foamboard and than went to hot wire cut solid wings. I have built a few balsa style designs of my own and a couple of the small Angelwingdesigns micro kits, but have only used CA glue on them.

It is hard to argue with the speed of CA, but other glues do give you flexibility with time and adjustment. Also much better clean up. LOL
Titebond is a form of CA I think. It still dries or cures slightly flexible, though slightly harder, but the adhesion properties and "sandability" are far greater than just plain old PVA. I'd put it as much as a twice as strong bond.

The waterproof type is particularly effective for balsa/ply, or balsa/hardwood joints.

A bit more spendy but heck - how much do we use?

Doc.

First time seeing this thread, but not the first time I've watched videos of this amazing plane. One of the coolest aerobats out there as far as I can tell. I love this plane.

Crikey - looking so good...then...2 months...what happened?

This was getting really interesting.

???

Hey!
Latest news: today I have just maidened my new wings.
I am 120g lighter, with new design + covering full balsa (was some samba before) + light oracover.
Did not fly it since last summer, good to flip and flat spin again today with very nice conditions.

Yes for sure! 💪

New wings are very good to me.
And a road is taken to local produced fiber fuselage, with a friend of mine here in France. I have 3d-printed a master, and he has produced molds. First fuselage should be out of it in coming weeks. Nothing for sale, just personal model.

On Aloft side, we didn't discuss since a long time with @Wayne about his vision. One year ago it looked like Aloft had too much on going projects to go also in this one.

Still steady progress, Stephane - it takes a long time to make a good model.:cool:

The pictures are too small!

Doc.

I think only the first picture is small. I try to replace it there.
Thanks for encouraging!
