Ethos OS is pretty easy to use and setup, and there are lots of how to on youtube. You will need to purchase the newest FRsky Archer Plus receivers. Once you commit you will say why did I hang on to my DX7 for so long. FRsky has one of the most refined Telemetry systems.I just killed my DX7. I’m seriously considering an X18 but I’m not familiar with the os. I understand there is much more flexibility with the x18 but not really sure how difficult it will be to get up and running again. I really only fly dlg these days.

Thank you very much. I think I will end up getting the x18.Ethos OS is pretty easy to use and setup, and there are lots of how to on youtube. I did find what you were talking about and have already read it twice. It is actually much easier to understand then I thought it would be.Hi Tony, there are two DLG templates for the Frsky radios on Mike Shellim’s website: RC Soar.com. Take a look.
Literally everybody locally uses his full house thermal or slope templates, and have done so for years. Simple to set up, all the mixing is done for you. Follow the instructions and you are good to go!
I’d like that but I’m in NE Texas. I believe I’ll end up with the x18. I really do like all of the options as well as the telemetry. The x-lite series looks nice but I’ve always preferred a full sized transmitter.I think you will kick yourself for not ditching the DX7 long ago. While the DX7 is easy to use, FrSky really packs a punch.
For DLG, you may want to consider the Twin X-lite radios. They are popular with the DLG pilots, commonly seen at the top levels. They are less likely to be thrown during the DLG launch. And the TWIN RF system is also popular with DLG pilots. If you prefer a standard style, the X14 is a little smaller than the X18, but the big let down is the loss of the touch screen, so might as well get the X18.
I personally fly an X18 and love the radio. Just wanted to make sure you considered the smaller units as they tend to be more popular with the DLG pilots. If you are inthe area, stop by and we will put them in your hands to get a better feel for them.
Woah, I didn't know this existed. I'll have to check that out.Hi Tony, there are two DLG templates for the Frsky radios on Mike Shellim’s website: RC Soar.com. Take a look.

I will start going through both links tonight. Thank you guys1.4.7? That is super old, and I don't think you can or want to upgrade directly to 1.6.x. Your bootloader certainly needs to be much newer, and I think that is probably the start of your problems. I found this link that may provide helpful information. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/sho...pgrade-notes-and-typical-issues-after-upgrade
