I couldnt leave well enough alone and had to make the Twister 2 my own. Wasnt satisfied with using tape to hold the hatch on so I designed and printed a magnetic latch system for it.
It has two 3d printed parts for the front and I am still working on an idea for the rear. Thinking just a latch piece on the canopy that slides under the fuse but we'll see.
The two parts slide together and have small magnets that hold it securely. It also goes under the fuselage to act as a mechanical latch to keep the canopy from just lifting off. It must slide back a bit before it can come up and off.
I even had matching purple fillament!

I had not taken the time during camp to look through the plane @Hawaii Sloper won so I started going through it. Really nice kit. Very clean. Lots of the work's already done. One mod I was suggesting to him is to go with two servo Wing instead of one.

Started working on a hard travel box for the Hawk 1 DLG. Will use some 1/4" Birch.
Dimensions are about 40.6" long, 7.8" high, 5.1" deep. Ill build it fully enclosed and use a table saw to cut the top off.
Than foam inside with custom holes to hold the parts.
