FrSky is never a company to rest, they are always looking to innovate and meet and exceed customer expectations. But when you make the best radio system out there and a receiver for every application, what do you do? Well, you look at its core and say, you know what, we can do better!

That is exactly what FrSky is working on. As a teaser they just released this video of a few new goodies they are adding to the existing transmitters in the near future. A Spectrum analyzer and an RF power meter. Should be available for both OpenTX and FrOs.

Ok - That is nice, and could really help confirm that all is safe, but that is not all.

FrSky has also announced that they are working on an entirely new protocol for the transmitters, modules and most all of their receivers. This is where things get really interesting. We can't give you many details just yet, but we are expecting lower latency, more channels, and multiple telemetry streams from different receivers as well as improved transmission rates!

I wish I could share more, but let's just say that this is huge and completely blows away the competition... again.

Best of all, these new abilities should work with your current radio gear with very few exceptions.Wow!

That is awesome news! The lower latency will take away one of the major complaints that the Cross Fire has noticeably less latency especially in the quad world. Another cool thing about Cross Fire is the automatic firmware uploads, do you know if that may be another of the upgrades? May have to step up to an X10 after all just for that beautiful screen!
