XJT external module ACCST v2.1.0 and JR don't mix

I had my partner in crime update my XJT to ACCST v2.1.0. Now the recievers, also on their apropreate v2.x.xx firmware will not bind properly to the XJT when the XJT is in the JR TX (8103). I get a bind but no servo movement. But when I bind the XJT and RX using a non-JR TX (X9D+) I get good binds. I can then carry over this binded pair to the JR TX (8103) and all appears to work just fine.

It appears that there is a binding option bug using the JR TX. Again if using a non-JR TX the XJT running ACCST v2.1.0 and RX work as expected. I'm finding it odd that a JR bay XJT will not work properly in a JR TX!

Is this a known issue? And if known does FrSky have an official work around? Is there any work being done on addressing this?

To be clear the XJT running ACCST v1 had what appeared to be proper binds with the RX. Now true I never tried to bind to the higher, channels 9-16, as the 8103 only outputs 8 channels.

Like I said this was an upgrade I asked somebody else to perform. This guy is far more code savy than myself. I'll be going to Denver and look at the issue myself.

I recall that there was an Aloft Forum member that had much the same issue with his XJT in a JR TX. So I'm thinking this is a real bug in the XJT FW.
Here is that thread.

Yes, I have family in Denver. And No, I don't work for Aloft Hobbies of FrSky. My only association with Aloft is that they are my local hobby shop. The only thing I love about FrSky is that they run OpenTX. 7 years ago this was a huge selling point that differentiate FrSky for the other Asian radio manufactures. OpenTX is very close to the same mixing logic we found with the late great Multiplex Profi 4000mc. I never really got my head around the master slave mixing constraints of most Asian radios.

So while today there are a few radio manufactures that also run OpenTX they haven't demonstrated near the engineering prowess that would allow me to take a chance on their offerings. In fact I have grave concerns about the legitimacy of their offering!
