X4R receiver wont register to my X18S in ETHOS

<Then i hit Register>

Holding the F/S down on the receiver and power up.

Not a solid red light but solid red with a brief cut.
if i press it again, it then goes solid red.
all the videos i've seen, registry happens instantly at this point.
my screen just keeps "Waiting for receiver..."

any thoughts ?

If that is a X4R (and not a RX4R) then it is ACCST only, so only binds in ACCST and does not register in ACCESS.
Change the internal module to use ACCST, then bind.

With a solid red light, this time around, after a few tries(disconnect power and try again)
It appears to have connected as the servos maxed out 180° and stopped with a blinking green light.

But no Range (RSSI: 0dB )

By the way. I have two X4R receivers and both are doing this. (not the hardware)

With ACCST (unlike ACCESS), after binding you have to power cycle the Rx and take the Tx out of bind mode before you have normal functionality.
