X18 and LUA scripts..

Ok - Your turn to help me. I for the life of me can't get LUA scripts that should run on Ethos to load up on my X18. I'm 100% sure I'm missing some simple step.

Basically I have made a folder for "scripts" in both the NAND and one on an SD card. I have made a sub folder for the named LUA.

And I just don't seem to be able to get anywhere. (Snake just to play with, I could care less about it) but figured the status LUA is pretty simple place to start.

Or maybe I'm just not pulling up the widget correctly for the status? I guess I'll need to see if the manual covers this at all.

Any ideas? Maybe my MAC is making a mess of the files?

I have not figured out how to add them as widgets. I have tried, but they don't seem to show up. I'll try the github versions instead of the RCG versions I was playing with.

OK - Just playing with things, I do maybe have some more things I can use for widgets. I added gauge, but it does not show up named gauge, is that correct?

From the Git site I have most of the scripts, here is how I setup a Line Chart connected to my rudder (this is on the simulator).

The Guage shows up as Lua Guage.

All this is just to make sure you have your scripts in the right place and working. After that, you can then play with an unknown script :)

Yep - Got that one working. I guess I'm doing things correctly, think I just had some old versions.

I have a similar problem to Wyne. My script is map1.lua, which is supposed to show the GPS location on a map. However, it is like the lua is not running. In the widget, doesn't show in the pull dow I am also running on an X18 all devices with the latest FW. Here are a couple of screens to help you to help me.

I do not have an Ethos radio but I tried to set it up on simulator (version 1.2.7).
The scripts do run.
But the Lua files are in the scripts folder. I would try that.

I thought the same, and I moved the lua script to the script folder as you suggest, but it didn't work. I will follow two directions from here: search for maps in this forum, and do some workouts with the FrSky luas to better understand how that works in Ethos, as it is quite different than OpenTX.
BTW, how can I get the simulator? I tried the links in FrSky, but got nothing from there.

you get the simulator on Github where you also get the Zip-File with the new frimeware.
But you have to check. Some releases don't have a simulator.exe because there's no new version of the sim.

Alois, just a dummy question: is there any way to simulate the switches or sticks position in the sim? I just can see the screen and the two controls multiple (position and rotary) to navigate/configure.

Oh, I also think that in a folder, the main script needs to be called "main.lua".
That is what I thought also, but not the case. - The DevMon lua is just placed into the scripts folder and is named devmon.lua and it works fine.

Guys, I feel embarrassed to ask this question, but I cannot get it right. Following gnichola suggestion. I went to https://github.com/FrSkyRC/ETHOS-Feedback-Community/tree/main/lua, saw the list of LUAs, and from there on I got stalled. I was not able to find a way to download the script (which I assume is a folder that contains the main.lua plus some other code or png. Could you please, tell me how do I go from the URL page to the SD card? I was expecting to have a download button, but if there is any. I didn't find it.
Thanks a lot.
