Around February end of February I purchased a x12s on eBay for $300 that I thought was a production model. I was having issues with clock always resetting and Amber reporting internal antenna error but no failsafes since I was running external antenna. I finally tried flashing opentx to nightly build to see if that would fix it. After several days of reading and messing with settings I unfortunately find out that the unit is actually a beta model. I informed the seller and he claims he had no idea but is offering me $150 partial refund. I was wondering is possible to upgrade unit to production? Should I try to get full refund instead? I recently had a baby so it took several weeks to find time to figure out this issues.

Try an return and get a full refund... You may keep runing into problems and unless you consitder your self an advanced tinkerer send it back even if it means a few lost dollars. Buy your next Tx from Aloft Hobbies for after sales support and repairs if needed.

Send it back, is not economical to fix. You should be able to get every dollar back if you used a credit card or paypal. Just file a dispute, product not as advertised.
