X10 after update

I have had this X10 now about 3 years and have been updating it right along with no issues
i updated my QX 7 several week ago and didn’t have any issues, but today updati from 2.3.12? To 2.3.15 I ran into issues at first the radio updated to 2.3.15 fine but after updating the SD it told me it was expecting a different version
did that several times still no luck. Yes I reformatted the card before each download. The last time it had me recalibrate the stick & pots now all my categories and models are gone and it will NOT down load from the file I saved.
plus every time it give me a “throttle not low” even when it’s alol the way down.
is there a difference between the early X10 an the X10 express. Was told it’s an early radio
please help

Yes, there are differences. If yours doesn't say "Express" on the front, it's not. If downloading the firmware using Companion, make sure you have the correct radio defined in your profile.

Ditto for the SD Card files. Unlikely they are really any different (but I have NOT verified this). There is a simple text file file named "opentx.sdcard.version" in the root of the SD card that the system uses to verify what SD card contents you have installed. I've cheated in the past and just edited the version listed in the file, rather than replaced all the SD contents...but that could be asking for trouble at some point, so is not advised

The "throttle low" and likely other things, is due to the calibration of the radio being messed up. Running calibration will fix that. But do it after you get the correct firmware installed.
If you saved a model backup to your computer, you should be able to then call it up in Companion and download to the radio. You might have work to do to redo any previous changes to screen colors, widget layout, etc. unless you also saved the "models" and "radio" directories from the SD Card....

I save everything. Too many past issues with computer things so always backup everything
