X10 ACCESS RF modul

Hi,
Is it worth it to upgrade X10s with X10 ACCESS RF modul?
At the moment I have ACCST receivers only (X8R, RX8R PRO and S8R)
Will I have some kind of benefit if I switch to ACCESS receivers?
Thanks

Edin

The new ACCESS receivers are nice and have an incremental benefit. If you want to keep your gear current then update. When you install ACCESS you can continue to use ACCST so its up to you. Don't confuse ACCESS with the Tanden radio as this is a big change.

Some improvements in the ACCESS receivers I've read about include lower latency, more channels (24 vs 16, only applies if using SBUS since no receivers have 16 ppm channels that I'm aware of), longer range (advertised as 2+ km vs 1.5+ km), better telemetry range, adjustable telemetry power, and OTA receiver firmware updates (the radio can flash new firmware onto the receivers without a physical cord).

It appears to be the future of FrSKY, so they will likely be supported long after ACCST support stops. But there's no need to replace existing receivers, unless there's a specific feature on an ACCESS receiver you're interested in that's not available on a receiver you already have.

The TD-R18 receiver has 18 PWM or a mixture of programmable PWM and S-Bus outputs.

I have been asking this question before in other forums.
Has anyone attempted to hack one of these ACCESS ISRM RF modules , in the style of the Multi external module ?
This could be an interesting path for those of us who have a QX7 radio , for example.
FrSky X10(S) and X12S ACCESS ISRM RF Upgrade Board
Its way more then just hacking some software. Firstly the internal buss runs much faster to support the 4 mili sec TX rate so the internal radio hardware cannot run that fast in earlier radios, it also has 24 channels not supported by earlier radios, FRsky has put a lot effort into ACCESS transmission format and currently only FRsky support this new format. Just upgrade your radio.

OK, thanks !, it is too big a jump for the old HW.
Will have to migrate to a new radio all together , eventually .
