I'm not sure, I did look at that motor but it's 1.1 kW out of a 146 g 3300 Kv inrunner. I can take a Badass 2315 2300 Kv to 1.2 kW on 6s for only 76 g, and the outer diameter is identical to the TP2930 (literally identical to the 0.1 mm), and I'm all for saving weight where possible. It can back mount like Wayne's version with the DYS or it can front mount, I'm not sure which way you mount the inrunners?

Also, what size packs are you running in your hot setup?

It's a 4S setup, the inrunner motors get mounted behind the firewall. I was running the Tattu FunFly 4S 1550mAh packs. Prop is a 4.7x4.7. I was using a Hobbywing Platium 60A but the Sequre 70A or 120A would be more compact and rated higher. the 120A would let you run 6S but good luck getting any decent mAh 6S pack to fit.

And this would be a pylon racer, right? So perhaps 2 min of wide open throttle and a very small prop, like 5x5?

yeah, according to the the eCalc, about 2 minutes of wide open.

Thanks Jarron, good to know. On the product page, it shows a setup with a 6s 1050... any chance you know which brand that is? I'm looking at the GNB s 1100 120c, it's 35 x 38 mm in cross section and 190 g.

ooh yeah, I forgot about that lol. That;s a Tattu R-Line. I think it was this guy. With the TP setup it got me a whopping 30 seconds of flight time before deadstick landing with no go arounds. Somehow I never missed once.

Are you saying you were using the same TP2930 3300 Kv on 6s? That sounds... aggressive.
ETA I think these are the 6s batteries I'll be using. Big fan of SMC.

I sure was! It sounded...terrifying! I think I have potato quality video of a pass that a friend sent me somewhere. But it took it okay. That battery could fit.

Literally can't see anything but it sounds like it hauls azz! I think I'm going with the Badass 2320 2180 on 6s (not the 2315) to get lower IR for our insane AZ heat. We fly when it's 100 degrees out. The BA 2320-2180 Kv for 6s has the same IR as the TP 2930-3300 Kv for 4s, which should be a good thing. I'll post about it here either way.
Hoping there are some pink ones on order?
