Will a D6FR RX work with an Ethos X20S?

So, I've got an older foamy with a FrSky D6FR, is there a way to bind this to my X20S, or is it time to update the RX?

You could install an XJT lite into the back of your X20S, and it will allow you to work with the D6FR. But if you only have one of these receivers, I think I'd be prone to replace it with a newer unit and not have the added fun of the external module.
