Which one?

Guys, I think it's time for a new radio, but having a hard time choosing. Can anyone share the differences between the Tandem XE and the X20S? I know the XE is a tray and weighs a pound more ( none issues for me), but what does the $200 extra buy me?

To me these are rather different animals. Yes, the function is the same, but the ergonomics are very different. So what style do you prefer? For me it would be the X20 layout, but for some the tray style really attracts.

I have a X9E, and an old Graupner MC tray, as well as a couple X12S, so good with both styles. Not sure a tray is worth an extra $200+ if nothing else is added over layout.
