What's happening at the SLoT

Very Strong User
On Friday I was at the SLoT with a "real" camera and took some photos of what was happening at the SLoT. With the hills still green I thought these ships looked great!

The main activity as far as I was concerned was my test/sport flying of my repaired Aeroic Redshift. I also flew my Stregas, much to my surprise I brought all three ship back without the need of repair. I think this is a testament to my improved flying (landing at the SLoT). And in the case of the Stregas that most of the weak points in their construction has finally been addressed. (No photos of the the Stregas were taken)

Martin Falarski was there also test flying his Droops after a repair. I learned a bit about airframe set up, that will help a bit with my F3F turns.

Mehrdad Amir had his new red Swift out. I'm recalling how much I like scale ships and conventional tails!

In the last photo it looks like the Swift is flying through the rear rotor as I don't see the flaps out. Mehrdad made a great landing.

All the best,
Konrad

great photos. I need to bring my dslr to sunset this year and get some photos. Last year i was flying so much i basically forgot to take many photos.

With the Iphone and the like having such good cameras now I've actually forgotten how to use a DSLR. I'm going to have to find my "Get Started quick" pamphlet.

Mine's an antiquated Nikon D70s. Now try to find memory cards for that one!

Very true about the phones. I have an old canon rebel with a nifty fifty prime lense so it lets you crank up the fstop and you can get those frozen in time action shots or go the other way for low light. But yeah it hasnt been getting much use in the past few years.

I just have a really hard time taking pictures when i could be flying, but than in the off season i wish i had more pictures lol

I bought the fancy phone with the better camera this time.. LOL Actually impressed with the thing. I don't know if you knew this or not, but you can use the thing to make phone calls too!

We have been slaving away building planes for Sunset. The funny thing is my crew rarely flies slope, but they have all built at least 1 new slope plane. Talk of visiting the slopes more often..

I'm sorry to say I don't think I'll be making it to Sunset. But if you and the crew are going sloping heck even flat land stuff give me a call. I need the practice with the camera and gliders!

You gotta go to Sunset!!

The guys fly at Sam27 every Sunday morning. Rather pretty out there right now.. Get it while it is green!
