Firmware for 32-bit BLDC motor electronic speed controllers that aims for simplicity. It is designed to deliver smooth and efficient motor drive, fast transitions from a complete stop to full throttle, robust direction reversals, and maximum hardware support.

Features

  • Servo PWM, Oneshot125, automatic throttle calibration
  • DSHOT 300/600/1200, bidirectional DSHOT, extended telemetry
  • Analog/serial/iBUS/SBUS/SBUS2/CRSF input mode
  • KISS/iBUS/S.Port/CRSF telemetry
  • DSHOT 3D mode, turtle mode, beacon, LED, programming
  • Sine startup mode, brushed mode, hybrid mode (sensored/sensorless)
  • Proportional brake, drag brake
  • Temperature/voltage/current/stall protection
  • Variable PWM frequency, active freewheeling...

Most of the technical support for this firmware has been via Discord, but I thought it would be handy to have a traditional forum to help support this exciting new firmware, and the hardware from the same developer.

ESCape32 is VERY easy to use with the wifi adapter that simply plugs into the servo lead. It is also very powerful and has a large following in the offroad crawler market thanks to some specialized features for that application. But do not be fooled, this is great for drones, fixed wing aircraft and well anything running a brushless motor (sensored or sensorless).

We will be offering the ESCape32 hardware on the Aloft store very soon. Look for their 60 and 25 amp controllers that offer FULL support of all ESCape32 features.

I got one of the ESCape32 Mini 2's for Christmas and am looking forward to trying it.

I noticed on the page for the ESCcap32 Mini 2 that the HobbyWing ESC Program Card is frequently bought with it. Does the HobbyWing Skywalker V2 ESC (particular the 15A one I have on my Carbon Falcon) also work with the ESCape32 firmware?

It does not.

The Frequently Bought Together is something our site does based on purchase history. It should not be used to define compatibility at all. I'm glad you asked!

I do suggest you pick up one of these though:

You only need one of these. They are the key that makes these so easy to work with. Just plug it into the servo connector on your escape32 ESC and then plug in a battery to the esc. Now on your computer or phone, look for a new wifi link. Connect to that and it will autoload a web page from the ESC and allow you to make all the changes you would like. Super sweet.

I was finally able to get mine all dialed with the WiFi link. I second this, so much easier.
