What firmware is on my FRSKY Receivers? How do I find out?

I'm trying to revive my comprehension of configuring S6R and S8R recivers with my Taranis X9D. I was unable to get Freelink to talk to eaither of them but S6RConfigure works fine. on one but not the other which makes me think there might be a firmware problem. Is there anyway to poll the reciever to find out what is on it?

I don't know of a way to read the version, best way to know is to flash it.

Thanks. I suspected this. i'm supposing that flashing these things wipes the previous firmware entirrey and replaces it with whatever you flashed it with.

Yepper. @j ferguson, my information was incorrect. When the radio is connected to a receiver, you can go to the radio settings (gear) then to the Info page. There it will list all radio hardware/firmware versions, including both your transmitter AND the receiver.
Apologies for steering you the wrong way on that.

IF you are flashing it from Ethos, it will ask you confirm with the current version before you flash the new code.
