Our desire is to host a helpful and friendly discussion area your RC hobbies.

We are light on rules here. We do ask that you respect everyone and mind your language. This is a family oriented hobby, and this is a family oriented site. Treat everyone like a flying buddy and this will be a much better space.

We have tried to build a very modern and very easy site for you. But that does not mean it is a basic site, we think you will find this is one of the most modern and complete forum packages on the internet today with advanced features that are very well thought out and easy to use.

We have tried to keep the styling as simple and clean as possible, letting the content pop off the page.

If you would like us to add a section or a feature, please let us know. If you find anything you do not like, let us know as we may be able to make adjustments.

Thanks,
- Wayne

An events section perhaps? Expand by area if it gets used more.

One thing that is very difficult for new people getting into sloping is finding help. Would be nice to get some small groups together to help people interested in the hobby. For instance i love watching slope videos, they never get old. I have 3 slope planes and have gone out several times but have not had success yet. Either no wind, not enough wind, or not the correct spot.

Right side of the bed.
When the time is right I'd like to put a link to this forum in the Horus and the QX7 facebook forums that I moderate. We never see mindless posts or trolling in those forums - but I do walk softly and carry a big silver hammer.

I'd like to see a way that OTX questions are kept separate from FrOS questions when discussing the Horus radios. Lots of new Horus users don't seem aware that OTX is even an option.

It would be good to add a link/announcement about the forum on the aloft homepage, I just discovered by accident after looking up info on that Aeroic glider

We will be once we are done setting things up. Right now we are still in a development stage. We are working out a couple of bugs that are driving me crazy. With that said, you are free to use it.

It has been fun watching it grow as people find the forum even though it is pretty hidden away.

OK - quick update - We did some updates, and that did not go well, with the holidays in full swing we opted to close the site for until we not only fixed the update bug, but also fixed up some other items in the backend to avoid any such repeats. Sorry for the forum being closed for so long. We should be good to go now. I'm starting to link to the forums here a bit more and will probably put in a link from the store pretty soon and generally get the word out that the forums are open for all. I'm think we will do this sometime next week.

Again, thanks all for helping out and posting content and sharing feedback, it has been a great help!

Does this work anything like WWIV? Gumby Damit
Holly time machine batman! Who the heck are you that you know those references?

For those that don't care, back in about 1983 I ran a forum (BBS that ran a software package called WWIV). This was before the internet existed. My user name was GumbyDamit.

I am so happy that you created this forum. I'd love to see it develop as the place to go to for all things OpenTX and FrSKY.

I think next to the FrSKY forum if woould be nice to have an OpenTX forum. Keep them separate but close to each other visually.

Yeah, I can do that. I was thinking I would wait and see how many posts we get for each and I can split them off later if needed. Right now I think the OpenTX questions will fall under FrSky..??

My concern is once the collective habit forms changing will be a lot of work redirecting posts.

Wayne.. I don't think I told you this but when I was working at my last job, the guy who wrote WWIV (another Wayne), worked for me.. That was of course 3 years ago.. I had some interesting talks with him about that now very old system. It was rather bleeding edge at the time I believe -- in the pre internet days. Lotsa modems calling around in the middle of the night to deliver email..
