Hey all - I know we have some very gifted programmers that visit the forum. We have the International Slope Race coming up this May, and I'm looking for an app or some sort of tool that can help us keep score and make sure we have all our plitos flying one another.
A bit about the race - This is a Slope Race that goes back many decades, it has a grand history. It died out a couple of years back, but it is back this year! What makes this race unique is we race multiple planes on the course at the sametime. The goal is for all pilots to get a chance to fly against one another, and all of their placing against each other add into a final score. The Matrix needs to make sure all pilots get to fly against one another through out several rounds of flying. We usually track the time of the first plane to finish the course, but this is not part of the scoring.
Ideally the Matrix would be able to adjust if a pilot should need to drop out of the race, keeping the flight full of race pilots. We would be able to pick from 2, 3 or 4 pilots flying per round.
Would be great to be able to see current pilot rankings as the event unfolds. The race itself is a 2 day event with as many rounds flown as mother nature will allow.
Points for each round are given based on the finishing position of each pilot.
We can go into the finer details, this is just the rough outline.
Does something like this exist? Or anyone able to help with this project?
