Just bought a FrSky transmitter and it wont talk to your new Archer receiver? Here is your solution:

and how to bind:

We are working with FrSky to make this video outdated ASAP. We hope to offer the transmitters with the current firmware in the near future. If you are buying a transmitter from us, we can do this firmware for you for free, just add a note when you place your order.

Great videos. I had totally avoided upgrading my x-lite as i figured it was too hard. Im going to give it a try.

Can this be made in to a sticky? This and the great graphic you have on the two types of FW used on the TX.

I may have missed it, but does one need a micro card reader to load data (FW) on to the SD card? Can the SD card be mounted onto the desk top using the TX as the reader and a USB cable?

Yes you can access the SD card while plugged into the TX and using a USB cable but the baud rate is quite slow so for some of the larger files.

Yes, I knew that. I was just hinting that this option might be nice to show in the video. This was aimed at those that might be cost sinsitive and not wanting to purchase more hardware.

Good point - But in general we do try to avoid connecting the computer to the radio as this causes way to many issues for folks. I know it works for 90% of the folks out there, just plug it in and BINGO it works. But seems like 10% of the folks out there have an issue with this step, and this becomes a major mess very fast. We find it far easier for people to do things from an SD card, and worse comes to worse, we can send a loaded up SD card for next to nothing from Aloft. At that point it is just navigating the menus on the radio.

Majority of people have worked with CD cards due to cameras over the decades. So it is a skill many people seem to have.

I will admit this last video is pretty fast moving compared to some of our earlier videos where we show the steps in a little finer detail. Our goal was to get the video out a little quicker to help people out ASAP. Showing all of the steps and possible options really slows things down, but also ads more confusion. We generally start these video projects with a goal and an outline of the steps we feel are critical to show in detail.

The video on its own is great. Even though I've done the process myself I'll keep referring back to it to make sure I don't do anything stupid. I really like the fast pace, get to the point style. I hate rambling how to videos. If I need to go back and reaffirm an issue I have the rewind button.
