Valenta ASW-17 - 3.5 meter

Another goodie that needs to go. This is one of my long term favorite planes. She is heavy and carries energy well, loves the big slope days. She hates thermal, don't even think about it. She last flew in October at Los Banos where she was tearing up the sky.

If you are looking for a good performing big model, she is a GREAT choice.

Here she was after her first flight:

I'll attach a bunch of detail shots below.

I have had her for over 10 years and she is flight ready. Very good shape considering her age. Elevator was converted to full flying as the Valenta design would not work. (They did the same on their Volcano that uses the same basic parts as the ASW-17.)

This plane is very strong, never seen the wings flex, and I like to ring her out in the air. She is at home on any slope that generates good reliable lift. She does like some space to land, the flaps are pretty small, pop up spoilers help. Do not mix ailerons into a crow mix, she does not like it when she gets slow for landing.

We can discuss more if you are interested in her. I truly love this plane.

Can be delivered to Los Banos in October.

Optional Plane Quiver Backpack, she has called it home for all of these years. $250 when bought with the plane.

Plane is $700.

Maybe 10 lbs for AUW.. Just a guess. She is not light. She can probably take another 10 lbs of ballast. But never tried it.
