Hi. Sorry for posting twice. Still finding my way around this forum, and new to rc.
I have canting foils on a sailing catamaran. I haven't launched yet. 2 on the port side,2 on the starboard side. The boat weighs about 11kg. So potentially very high loads on the leeward foils. I'm thinking to try 45kg/cm servos on the foil arms. Simple linkage setup. I'm just concerned the 3 amp ubec is too small. Lol.. Sounds way to small. The servos will be loaded to max. They only have to hold position.... Either up, or down...In the water or out of the water.Max amp draw. Surely you would need a bigger regulated power supply?? Just putting it out there? Cheers?

Yeah, some 7kg servos can suck up around 1.5 amps when working hard, so would assume you are going to need a much better power source. See if you can find the amp rating from the manufacturer, or better yet, measure it on your servos with a large ger power source feeding the servo to see what she actually eats when working hard.

A 3a UBEC/SBEC,, is definitely way to small for that application.

You need at least a 5 amp.

The 8a ''FrSky'' that Aloft offers,, I think would be the Cat's meow. ;)
