Triple Neo Speed | Motor installation

I purchased a Triple Neo Speed (saw on YouTube) — Aloft recommended I buy a eMAX Grand Turbo GT2218/09. I followed the instructions to the letter (translated into English) (image 0).

I installed the firewall as instructed, but the motor wires stick up so high (see image1) that I can’t get the motor to set against the fire correctly. Do I have the wrong motor? If only the wires were in the rear of the motor rather than aft. Not new to building, but my first electric.

Yes, this is the fun of many outrunner motors, the wires are in the way with a tight fuselage. Couple of methods, but basically need to bend the wires over pretty tight, but don't want them touching the spinning can.

I have the Triple Neo 2 meter and used the same motor. Its tight but will work. In another Glider I have a caged motor with the wires exiting from the rear. Perhaps Wayne or Jarron can recommend one that will work.

I think I got it to work… bent wires carefully — the wires are very close to can, but not touching… I replaced the philip heads with hex head (slightly longer too), much easier to mount now.
