Tried to downgrade XJT FW in X-Lite, to use XMR Rx, didn't work, help?

I built a few tiny 150g combat robots for the upcoming RoboGames competition. They use the XMR receiver because of size+weight.

It doesn't bind with my X-Lite. So I tried with my Q X7, it still didn't bind. I realized I had the newer XJT firmware on my Q X7, so I put on the old "XJT-Ver170317" and success, it paired with my receiver. Robot works.

So I put the same file on my X-Lite, and let it do the update. It still doesn't bind.

Uhhh, did I do something wrong? or is it simply never going to work due to how new the X-Lite is in comparison to the Q X7?

Thanks

The XMR receiver can only talk with ACCST V1. I'm not aware of any options to bring it up to ACCST V2.
FrSky's website states:
XMR cannot be upgraded to the latest v2.1.0 firmware because of the hardware limitation.
So the trick will be to install V1 firmware on your radios you would like to use. Doing this will mean that radio will no longer be able to connect with any receivers running ACCST V2 that you may already have.

If you are using a mix of receives with V1 and V2 firmware, then I would suggest keeping one transmitter on V2 and the other on V1.

Anothert option is to instal UNI-RX firmware onto any receivers you might want to use on either transmitter. Sadly the XMR is not available for UNI-RX.

By the way, congrats on finding an XMR, they are very rare!

Another option you may like is the Crossover RC receivers we are now stocking. They are VERY light and talk ACCST V2:

The smallest is about the same weight and has plugs.

Thanks

I didn't find the XMR, I had them from long before.

The Crossover receivers look interesting. Is there a user manual?

Is this a "house brand" product? I searched about it and you guys are one of the top results.

They are a small manufacturer, think Buzzard RC has been selling them for a while now, and they offer them with all of the different protocol options. Etc. Buzzard is pretty cool shop that seems to focus on small RC flight supplies, well worth checking out.
