Transition to Frsky X7S (2.23), with S6R on delta wing (Crash Test "Assassin")

Hello & Thanks for your patience with my first post!

Purchased / downloaded the following:
  • X7S running 2.23. Micros SD Card Installed
  • S6R new, old firmware
  • Assassin Delta Wing
  • Companion app (Windows)
  • SDK tool
Instructions requested:

1. How to upgrade firmware on the S6R RX to be compatible with my X7S? )
2. Are files summary or additive, should they be unzipped, is there a directory they should be placed in?
3. How to load the Lua scripts and activate them on my TX?
3. Basic setup of the RX for Delta Wing under "simple mode"

Final Questions:
  1. Is there an interactive forum either in person or online where people like me who are transitioning to this highly flexible and powerful platform can get their questions answered in a trouble shooting format?
  2. Is there anyone you would recommend I connect with in the East Bay? I recently rejoined the Livermore Flying Electron Club.
Thank you!

I think this is the link you will want for your questions:

For basic use and model setup and what not I would suggest reading through the undergrad items here: http://open-txu.org/ The manual Aloft sells is probably also very helpful. And to answer question 2, firmare is released as a "full" package and not patches, so just grab the one you want and install it.

Thank you have done that, great resource. Please see my other thread and support request re the S6R. Delta Gyro has a firmware bug on Delta Wing (Elevon Lua config,) Must say, the gyro functionality is far inferior to the Eagle Tree Guardian released over 10 years ago. I really like the idea of Lua config, error is in the gyro firmware I suspect as roll Stabilization correction is the only error in flight control and pitch Stabilization.

Wayne,
Please review my response, little frustrated with this back a forth. I believe Scott Page has observed a similar issue as previously noted. I need a response specific to my noted issue.
