I'm a newbie to Ethos. If anyone can lend help to ethos mixing I'd appreciate it. I'm probably making something way more complicated than necessary?!
My plane, a Volantex 2.4m Phoenix (glider), gets strong pitch up with throttle. (I realize the better solution would be to change prop angle but I want to learn mixing all the same.)
I've set up a throttle =>elevator curve and mix. Mix name is Thr2Elev. That works as desired, i.e. the elevator is biased downward as I add throttle.
But I want to be able to enable/disable this mix regardless of throttle position.
When I make a Logic Switch to combine Throttle with SG1↑, and use that as source (input) in Thr2Elev, elevator movement as I add throttle is just a blip (binary) downward instead of following the curve. Yet when my Thr2Elev mix instead sources the throttle (ignoring SG1 ), it works as desired. Note, Output of my Thr2Elev mix is Ch2 Elevator in all cases. I've included a picture of that curve, and below are the logic switch settings.
Logic Sw: 'Enable T+Emix'
Function --- Range
Source --- Throttle
Range --- 30% - 100%
Active Condition --- SG1↑
(I've also tried it with Function being A>X, where Source A is throttle and X is 30% -- no fix. I've also tried changing to a Custom curve, 5 point, with 'smooth' selected -- no fix.)
