Yeah, i could see that. But with the laser cutter you can make all the patterns you want for cutting wings the old fashioned way.

Here is a cool video showing what can be made using both a laser cutter and a hot wire cutter.

Having used both hand cut and CNC methods, I'll only use CNC for our products. With this said for rapid prototypes, yes, great solution!

I agree about foam cores, but I have no ability to cut foam in house.

Actually I think it is a good thing.

Will be getting a light weight fiberglass fuselage and foam core wings. Can still make all wood wing kits for it too.

Kind of looking like some old Graupner kits from the 90's. A nice glass or blow molded fueslage and built up wood wings.
