TD SR12 receiver question

Cobraone

New User
I’m running a TD SR12 receiver with the remote switch for receiver power using two 1100 mah lipo 2s batteries, so I left the batteries plugged into the receiver and turned off the receiver with the remote switch, problem is the receiver totally discharged my lipo batteries, is this normal? Now I have to remove the wing to unplug each battery, I’m afraid to leave them plugged in, not Sure I see the advantage of the remote switch?

have you guys in the shop heard of anything like this before?
thanks in advance for any ideas!

This is normal. The remote switch and Rx need a bit of power to turn them on, well remotely. Best to unplug them not in use.

What he said, all of the "electronic" switches will consume some power as they wait for your power up command. Usually this is a tiny little draw and would take a VERY long time to drain most batteries.

As I recall the drain from the NFC switch for the FrSky should not be much of an issue, probably taking many months to drain a small lipo. Am I wrong on this? Looking for this spec and not finding it.

Another option is the audio jack switch:

That should be drain free.
