Taranis X9D Issue (Help)

So, when I start up the radio, the roll trim goes all the way to the right and the radio continuously emits a beeping sound. The sound when adjusting trim. So I have another X9D that I took the trim switch out and used to troubleshoot thinking it was a bad trim switch, but it does the same thing. I think something is wrong with the main board. I inspected the board, but do not see anything burnt or damaged. Has anyone had this issue? If so, what was the problem and how did you fix it?

We recently had a radio in with this issue that was a bit interesting, he had done something odd in the model setup that made this happen. We had assumed it was a hardware issue as it always has been in the past.

Anyhow, since this is an older radio, we have heard reports that replacing the little memory backup battery cures this for some folks:

Since you have already swapped the switch, this would be the next thing to try. Also, while in there, give a look at all of the connectors to the main board. Give them a little wiggle and see if that solves things. Otherwise things start to get expensive to fix..

I would try what Henny mentions to see if the switch is actually actuated, or if is some sort of odd setup. Does the radio do this regardless the model that is active when bootup occurs?

Bringing back this old thread. I just encountered this same issue after modifying a couple of models in Companion and writing them to the radio. This morning, no matter what model I selected, the aileron trim went to full right. If I ran it back to center, it stayed - but as soon as I loaded a second model, aileron trim went to full right and tried to keep going, with constant beeping. The beeping couldn't be stopped and no other controls worked until I turned the radio off and on again. Reloading all models and settings, reflashing firmware - nothing helped. I also tried starting up with the aileron trim switch disconnected - no help there either.
But after unplugging and replugging all the connectors to the main board - normal function is restored! It must have been a bad pin engagement in the mainboard connector.
