Taranis X9D+ 2019 and RX6R Binding Troubles

I just received a new X9D+ 2019 and RX6R receiver from Aloft. They are both stock with no new firmware loaded (yet). I've watched several videos on how to bind and understand the process. I got to the model menu and set the X9D to ACCST D16, Internal RF then hit the [Bind] selector. That pops up the telemetry selection and I select no telemetry. I turn on the receiver while holding the bind (F/S) button and after a second both the red and green LEDs come on solid but the red LED never flashes, just both stay on solid. After a bit (I've waited up to several minutes) I finish the bind at the transmitter and cycle power on both receiver and tx. Receiver comes on but red LED flashes slowly and it's not bound. I've tried every selection I could find but makes no difference. The RX6R won't bind. Just for grins I tried ACCESS mode, too, but it the tx doesn't see the rcvr as expected. I'd appreciate any assistance as I've kind of run out of ideas.

Thanks!

Curt, you have done no firmware changes, right?

Should be working. Try this method, it is just slightly different, but I like it as the LEDs tell a story this way.

Power the receiver up, slow flashing RED LED? Power off, and power back up, but wirth the F/S button pressed down, hold this until the LEDs do something different, might take 10 seconds of holding with this receiver. Should now be looking for the transmitters bind signal. Now go to the transmitter and set ACCST D16 mode, tell it to bind (WITH telemetry) and you should see the LEDs on the receiver change. If they did, then the bind is complete. If they did not, then something is wrong, my guess these days would be a bad firmware, but there is a tiny chance you have a bad receiver.

It may take a few attempts to get the first bind with the RX6R, I don't know why, but these give me some trouble and occasionally need several attempts to get them to take the first bind. Once bound they have no more issues.

I thought I posted that I had figured this out but it doesn't look like it showed up. The solution turned out to be to update the receiver firmware. I burned the latest ACCST firmware to it from the transmitter and it finally bound properly. I also updated OpenTX and the internal rf module to the latest firmware. Everything seems to be working well now. Thanks!
