Taranis plus X9D - Suitable Receivers.

Hi I am very much a newbie to the Taranis plus X9D currently with edgetx-X9d+-2.10.6 installed. I have been gifted a small lightweight motorised glider which is currently fitted with a FrSky V8R4 receiver. Looking through the Forums it seems that the V8RV receiver will not work with the Taranis plus X9D. Is that correct? If so what would be the best small lightweight receiver that would work with the Taranis plus X9D? I am only after a simple receiver without any telemetry requirements for control of electric motor, and a V tail elevator/rudder mix. I am also struggling how to program the Taranis even though I have purchased a copy of the Taranis plus X9D+ user manual.
Any suggestions and help will be appreciated.

The non-telemetry stuff is no longer available.

For programming a V tail, in Edge, you will have your 2 channels. Each channel will have 2 sources, one is a 50% elevator, and the other is a 50 rudder. The new model wizard should be able to do this for you as long as it still exists in Edge.
