Tandem XE with XJT lite external module

Strong User
I have bound a XJT lite external module in my Tanden XE to a X8R receiver. I am also running a TD R 18 in tandem mode. Both receivers indicate that they are bound. The R 18 functions properly. I bound the XJT in D16 mode, I had tried top bind the X8R in D 8 mode, but it would not bind. chan 1-8 without telemetry. Power is supplied to the X8R via Ch 8 via an BEVR. It is a separate BEVR than the R 18 operates on. All electric use the same battery source, 2 x 12v 12a/hr SLA's. On my XE, I have programed ch 17 driven by switch B. The transmitter indicates correct output, both in the Mix menu, as well as the Output menu.
Currentl;y all chaneels function correctly fron the R18, however there is no output from the X8R. I have tried several diffent servos and difference cables. No Joy.
My transmitter is running ver 1.5.8 FCC
I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions.
Thank yuou
Jonathan

Further troubleshooting: The X8R, in spite of showing a Green Bound LED, showed a RSSI of 0. I opted to try a different X8R and bound it according to instructions, D 16 ch 1-8 no tele. No bide. I then tried to bide in D16, ch 1-8 WITH Tele and it bound with a RSSI of 75. However there is no output from the receiver.
I have assigned ch 17 on the XE to a switch. I have set the switch parameters. The XE indicates, both on mix page as well as output page, appropriate actions occurring. But nothing out of the receiver.
Is it possible that there is a conflict between the XE assignment of ch 17 and the receiver ch 1, which is my output channel?

Another baby set taken. I had is in the back of my mind, but now it is proven. The XJT receiver is running off the same signals as my R18 receiver. Ch 1 reponds to rudder, both receivers.
mY question now is how to get the XE to account for the addition receiver and re assign those channels?

Glad you got it.. Just saw this now.. Looks like you figured out how to assign the higher channels to the X8R.
