SWASH PROBLEM ON TARANIS Q7 RADIO

WIZZ

New User
Hi everyone !
I'm a newbie on this Forum so please accept my apologies in advance if I am posting my question in the wrong place !

Having just bought a Taranis Q7 Tx and a 450 Align Sport helicopter I am having a problem setting swash arrangement. I have studied and carefully followed the Opentx set up guides ( 1. 2. & 3. ) to configure my radio and although all servos work individually on Tester they only work individually by Tx stick movements. The Swash Plate does not move up or down in it's level position when I operate the Throttle control to actuate the Pitch Servo.

I've attached a video clip showing Pitch Servo working on it's own when Throttle stick moved. Other 2 cyclic servos move only when their respective stick inputs are moved ( ie : Elevator & Aileron. )

Any help would be sincerely appreciated please ! Thanks in advance.

In your mixer page you need to make sure the Source is set to CYCx like so.

If you have that and it still is not working then I suggest you post the model file here, otherwise it could be difficult to figure out.

Hi there gnichola !
Thanks for your quick response to my question.
My first call was to the Technical Support team at T9HobbySport who sold me the Radio but there response was they know nothing about the OpenTx system - only the physical aspects of the radio.
I have literally spent several hours studying the OpenTX University instructions and have programmed my radio according to their recommendations and checked all settings a few times now.
I'm using A.E.T.R. Channel mapping with an external Module bound to a DSMX type of receiver. Cyclic 1 assigned to the Elevator and Cyclic 2 to the Aileron.
I've attached a couple of piccies showing my mix channels and hope this is helpful.
As I'm new to this can you kindly tell me how to post the model please ?
Thanks again . . . Kind Regards . . . Wizz.

PS . . .Please let me know if it would be helpful if I uploaded piccies of the other Helicopter set up screens.

I would be hard to guess from this. How about the Heli Setup page? Do you have something like this?

Try this, go to one of my favorite friends, the Channels Monitor page and see what your servos are doing. If you move the throttle stick up/down, you should see channels 1, 2, & 6 all changing. If you move the aileron stick, you should channels 1&2 moving,
To post the model file, plug your radio into your computer and look at the SD card, and you should see a "models" folder. Inside that are all the model files. Find the one corresponding to your new heli and copy that off there and post it here. You may need to change the file extnsion from .bin to .zip or something to get it to copy up here.
