Hey everybody,

Ill be down in Watsonville this coming weekend working on my dads plane. I checked the winds and Sunday actually looks like it might be decent with 10-15 mph forecast. Ill probably throw a few planes in the car and maybe try to do some sloping after I finish on Sunday. I do have the option to go fly Friday late afternoon and Saturday late afternoon if the winds pick up too.

Just figured I would throw it out there in case anyone wanted to join.

I'd totally join you as I have had the itch to get out there but I am completely booked this weekend. Weekends after September are open and I will meet up or post if I am going.

Hmm.. might just have to join you. Maybe a little airport tour too? What kind of plane?
Yea you are more than welcome to come see my dads plane. Its called a Glastar and is a 2 seat experimental. Ill be doing the annual inspection on it so Friday/Saturday it will be taken apart and Sat/Sun going back together

Oh I used to have a Glastar kit! Kept the Fuselage at Aloft's old warehouse. Then reality settled in that I could not afford to finish it on hobby store income. :(

Really?!?! Funny that has never come up in our conversations. Lol

Yea, it takes a lot of time, money and effort to build a plane. My dad bought his already built and flying.

That is the smart way! LOL

I bought a local kit with the wings and tail done. I did some work on the remaining wing, and confirmed all of the work already done, prepped for paint of the remaining wing, and then sold it on. Was sure nice to have my garage back, but they are excellent planes IMHO. Basically C180 without the price tag if you build up the gear and do the right motor prop combo. Good safe planes.

Jarron and I will be there Sunday. We will probably bring our race planes as they are a lot of fun at Sunset.

Let see will bring my Tracer, Bam Bams and Gentle Lady and Ridge Runt... and and and... LOL I do love Sunset.

Awesome, sounds good! Ill be bringing my Forza and a mix of other stuff. I was thinking about trying to finish the Xray to be able to maiden it but tracking for the battery and woods metal I ordered unfortunately shows it wont make it to my house until tomorrow and I leave this evening most likely. I may still bring it and work on it in the evenings at my parents house and maybe see if I can cobble together a battery and some nose weight with lead bbs for Sunday. Looking forward to it!

Forgot I took a couple of pictures. Jeremy landing his Forza after a great flight. Photos look a little brutal, but this is actually a nice soft landing.

Love the left wingtip vanishing under the sand.
