Sunset Build Challenge??

Jarron and I were enjoying our typical lunch time discussion of (bad) airplane designs.. This degenerated into silly airplane ideas.. And that got me to thinking about an earlier discussion we had here for some sort of group build, or group challenge for Sunset '24.

One bad thought I had was super simple:
Build a glider primarily from pool noodles.

No other guidance or direction.. Just needs to be mostly pool noodle.

Why?
It would be cheap, and will allow a lot of creativity from builders. And I doubt they will be very invested in it, so should lead to more fun.

I have no idea what people might be able to come up with, but think it would be fun to see.

Have any suggestions for a challenge? Lets hear it! I am not tied to the pool noodle at all, just a random thought and shared here to see if it gets any ideas flowing.

Build the ugliest, nastiest looking, glider out of all your discarded but not chucked out gutpile relics.

The rules?

It has to actually fly, and be at least marginally safe: i.e. all the various parts must be connected by string...and thats it.

But Wayne, there was only one cuss word, and it was in English not American!

I mentioned "Ugly as a bucket full of (Term for on orifice which resides on the lower side of your body, or ar bad people)" And mine had a "R"in it!

But it was censored because noy only was my naughty word removed, but the whole post as also rearranged.

Next time I'll do the terse expletive type language (malus lingua) in latin.

Love it - actually with the recent changes the entire atmosphere has changed and it feels really refreshing.

@Shoelace about that x-wing you posted. I don't know if you've seen the weasel build log in the RC groups threads. It's got so many pages but that guy that did that video that's him. And the x-wing is made up of two weasels put together in an x.

This should let me cut a 60" wingspan main wing (2x 30" cores), symmetrical airfoil elevator, and some leftovers for fuselage parts.
