I'm bringing my sunglasses to Sunset so you can't see my eyes in the mornings - do you need some?Your alcohol detectors are pretty fine tuned Guy![]()
I need to get a slope jet. Ive never had one and would gladly add one to the hanger. Thanks for the reminder Nate![]()
Don't you fly turbines already? Bring one to Sunset, plug the engine intake, put ballast in the front and 'send it'!!! You will make a good target drone!![]()

Well, yes I do jets... I have a turbine glider that I have thought about sloping as the turbine mounts right on top of the CG. Just pop it off and leave the turbine battery installed but unplugged and its good to go. Its would need some wind though lol
If I have room in the car, maybe Ill bring it for people to check out (and in case the wind blows like last year...).

Thanks! That will be awesome to check out and hopefully watch fly (and landThat's a beauty! We are bring all the heavies we can load, plus a skinny wing 4.5m -- Landing it will be fun
cool concept in recycling / upcycling !Much less exciting but just as fun. This plank is about ready to go. After adding the wing tip fins, it kinda looks like a derpy pterodactyl(Pay no attention to the completely chaotic work table...)

Hey Jure, Its currently set up with elevons and a single central flap with crowcool concept in recycling / upcycling !
depending how you configure the control system , will you program the flaps as split elevators?
Crow ?
I wasnt sure about them but figured it would need more than the one small fine in the center. I can pull them out if they dont help or maybe Ill pull them out prior to trying it and if it needs more vertical surface I can add them back or move them somewhere elseLove it - Will be fun to see it flying.
I don't mean to be a pain, but the tip fins in the current location are probably going to work against you. You really want them behind the trailing edge as much as possible. At the leading edge they will probably have the opposite effect you are looking for. Kind of like putting a vertical on your nose, it will spin you around.

just be careful not to have too much throw in the elevator operationDecided to pull the wingtip fins and we'll see how it does with just the central one to start. Heres a quick clip of the control setup. Its pretty much ready to go. Now to start loading the car!
