actually had a couple scary moments flying the 90" wing. Same scary moments as flitefest last year in napa, but i thought it was the crazy winds. Turns out because of my placement of the servos and the length of the servo arms that the control rods are hitting the foam and stopping movement and in one case pulling the servo up out of the foam. In a dive and a turn i found that i almost couldnt pull out of it. Chris at your shop answered my email questions today and i have some longer servo arms on order.
Yeah, don't be shy, let them hang out for good movement! A little more sweep back on the wings would give a wider CG range and a little smoother operation for FPV use IMHO. I also like to keep the wings in tact, and use a motor shaft extension to get the prop behind the wing. They can be pretty simple designs for the shaft extension if you are not using a folding prop. This will get you a good balance without extra weight, and a quieter and cleaner operation for the prop.
