SR8 PRO setup Ail2 not responding to gyro

I am attempting to set up independent ailerons on a model that previously had them wired to one connector, I need the ability to adjust aileron differential to correct for adverse yaw. I added a new connector to ail 2 and plugged that into Ch5 and attempted to make adjustments in the model setup page to add the two aileron configuration and only got one aileron to respond to stick inputs. After some fiddling around in SxR configuration I got both ailerons to operate via stick input but only one responds to the gyro in either auto level or auto correct modes.
I created a new model and got the same issue, so I did a factory reset and calibration on the Rx and attempted to set up another new model and still can not get one aileron to respond to any gyro input/corrections, Ail 2 is the one that is ignoring the gyro, even checked with a known good spare servo in Ch5 slot and no response.
I checked my X20S and ETHOS Suite says my version was out of date so I upgraded, I verified that I am running the latest stabilizer config, even re-flashed the Rx firmware. I have looked for a current tutorial on YouTube but everyone has moved on to the newer Rxs and the setup uses the Stabilizer config vice the SxR menu. I even attempted Stabilizer config and it reports reports Unable to read for device and version.
What am I missing ?

Thanks for trying but that download does not contain anything my transmitter will accept.
the unzipped folder does contain a .Lua but it will not install.

Sorry, I can not help anymore (I still use OpentX)
But ot seems that the lua is OpenTx only.
You could have a look, probably the Stabi functions are setup in an Ethos menu.
Normally there is an option to set the ch5(Pin5) to "aux" this would be wrong because "aux" means no stabilizing

Just an idea: I think I remember a case were I had to select a "Reset" button using a stabi-script.
While I did update the firmware this did not remove the old settings. (It seems that the settings are stored in the receiver independent from the firmware.)
This could be the affect in your case: You updated the firmware but that the not stabilized channel5 is probably the result of a setting parameter (which is still alive)
So if nothing else works you could look for a menu option "reset..." in the Stabi - setting.
But if you use a "reset" then you will have to start completely new with calibration. and it could also be that channel5 not stabilized is a default setting you have to change manually.

(As an example: if you update "Archer plus SR.." receiver from V1... to V2... you must do a reset because the format of the stored data was modified)

I think that the Aux setting was what was causing the issue, after much experimentation ( AKA blindly flipping switches ) I got Ch5 to respond to stabilization, I will have to make a note on how it is set currently and store that in a safe place for the next time I alter a setup or move a Rx.
