New to stabilized receivers, any help is much appreciated.

After YouTubing and reading, I set up my first model with this receiver. Registered, Bound & Calibrated just fine. After preliminary set up, the stabilization was working somewhat. Seemed like a little tweeking would do. Turns out I had not self checked and my switch configuration was a little wonky. Came back armed with fresh knowledge ready to fix the problem. Plugged it in and went to self check, nothing happens. No stabilization seemed present at all in any switch configuration, didn't seem to be working whatsoever. Reset the Rx for the model. Registered and bound no problem. Went to re-calibrate on the desk. In the first step (face up, pins right) I click the button to calibrate. Tx says "calibrating" and freezes. Perpetual "calibrating". It appears to be malfunctioning. What am I missing here?
