SR+ receivers...is self-test/control throw still a thing?

I have a new SR10 + updated to 3.0.3.

I tried the manual specified procedure to do the self-check (blue light, moving sticks etc) and exactly nothing happens. Chatter on other forums seems to indicate this is no longer necessary. The stab functions seem to work as advertised, but I want to make sure it is setup correctly before actually flying.

Does anybody know what the correct procedure is? Should we be using the Script files from Frsky and not the SxR setup in ETHOS?

Thanks!

I still use OpenTx so I do not know how to access this in ETHOS (probably part of EThOS firmware)

But concerning OpenTX/EdgeTx the self test in the old way does not exist anymore. In firmware version 3.0.x it has been replaced by something called Stick Calibration.
These are 6 single steps that you have to do. Once understood it is much simpler and easier to understand than before.

For me SxR setup sounds like the older versions of stabilized receiver. The new one are call SR... (Archer plus)

You can download the LUA scripts for Ethos with the Ethos-Suite (I think actual version of scripts is 3.0.8)
Do not use old scripts with V2... . These can not work correct with V3... firmware.

Where do I learn about "Stick Calibration"? I don see it in the manual, or any six steps in the .PDF from Frsky.

Thanks!

I can only tell about OpenTx/EdgeTx Lua scripts. But these scripts have there origin in the new Ethos script.

It is only for "Archer Plus SR...-receivers" with a firmware version V3...

I do not know how it does look like in Ethos but here are some screenshots of OpenTX (X9d-2019)
I personally do favor this because it is more straight forward and easy to understand than the selftest.
For normal use you onkly need to do the first 3 lines (Gyro 1).
(By the way "Gyro 2" does not mean you have a second Gyro. It does mean there is a second set of channels/pins that can be defined to be stabilized (only Access, not Accst)

Thanks, that did the trick. I got side tracked with the script files from the website. I really wish they had better instructions it gets confusing when the written instructions point the wrong way....
