SOLD: Adventure F5J 3m

SOLD, thank you.

Hello Guys,

I have an Adventure F5J 3m full composite I would like to offer for sale. It is basically PNP, but will need a little more work to get it flying again. Please read in full if your interested.

It has KST servos (X06 Ailerons and V-tails, X10 flaps), AXI 2220/12 Long 1200 kv, Castle Phoenix Edge Lite 50 ESC. Is has the original spinner and prop that it came with when I bought, but I bought a white spinner and CF blades for it from SUSA, looks a lot nicer.

Full transparency, because I wish I knew these things before sending $1266 for it and I feel like it was mis-represented when I purchased it from the distributor. This was claimed to be in excellent condition and was the demo glider and built by a professional builder. When I got it there were items to note, I have fixed them to the best of my ability. I will list the items, so a buyer can make an informed decision. I am sure I am making it worse than it actually is, but I am very anal about my stuff and would not have paid what I did, if I knew the actual condition. Its still an awesome glider that will look and fly well.

1. First, all the KST servos are glued into the model with no servo frames or kapton tape, so to remove the servos is going to take some care, but certainly doable with a little focused heat and careful Dremel work. But good news all the servos are working. I don't feel like the aileron servos center the best, maybe off by 1.0 to .5 mm from center, and the control geometry needs to be worked on for the inner wings. But I honestly don't think it will affect flight performance.

2. The left inner wing section the cover was sticking out and there was a longer servo arm that was pushing on the cover and the control horn must have been reposition and reworked as the top skin was sanded. Additionally, when they tried to get the servo horn off they had to put the screw driver at an angle and there is gouge in the bottom skin. It gets covered with tape, so it smooth now. I masked off and added a little paint, I know the white is off, but its better than it was.

3. The V-tail servos were intermittent and come to find out the servo extensions leads, the pins were barely in the housing, so I fixed and rewired that and it works like it should.

4. The left aileron servo lead had bare wire showing, so I had to go it and fix that lead as well and I added an extension to it.

5. The ESC leads had bare wire showing. So I re-soldered and fixed all that. The motor is just temp installed and will need to be final installed in and it will need a battery tray fabricated. All simple items to complete now.

6. There is spot on the bottom of left outer wing that has a small dent, partial break through, maybe 1/4" Still super strong and stiff.

7. Scuffs on the bottom of the forward fuselage from landing.

Again, I want to be fully transparent.

The overall condition is what I would consider good now and with a little more work, it would be a great flying model. It is a really good looking glider for sure and after polishing and waxing the entire glider it looks excellent. I am just gettign out of the hobby and I no longer need it. My loss your gain and I think its priced fairly now.

$1000 shipped for everything in the listing and PayPal F&F or please pay the 3.5% fees. See my feedback on RCG. FG and HF (spookyeng) and buy with confidence.
