I will miss Jul 11th but will look forward to practice sessions and the races after the 11th.

How about a maiden/test day @ Thorton on June 21st?

Or a weekday, whatever. Fam is out of town for a couple weeks, planning on doing a lot of building & flying.

How about Tick Point June 21st? Probably a little more friendly spot to learn to fly these. (If it is not foggy) and will force you to learn to land with flaps.

I should be able to make it on the 21st but have plans already on July 11th. Either location works for me.

To be clear - Tick is just a practice day. We are not planning to race at Tick. More or less not a good idea to host a race there for a couple of reasons.

July 5th ~2 pm: Mini Practice Session at Thornton Beach

For anyone not traveling on the holiday weekend, I'm going to get together with a buddy on Sunday July 5th for a pre-event practice session at Thorton Beach. Any and all are welcome. We're just planning on trimming out our Slingshots a bit more and prepping them so they're ready for the MoM race. Depending on how many people show up, we might try to fly a few practice laps on the stretch of the slope where we expect to hold the event. Even if you don't want to fly your race-ready models, it could be a good introduction to the slope for anyone who hasn't been there before.

I guess I better build mine now.. LOL I have given "my kit" away about 4 times now.
