Silly Stick Construction Questions

Pops

New User
Greetings - I received a Silly Stick kit for Christmas and am working on getting it built. My questions:

Is there information regarding exact placement of all the brackets, mounts, etc on the fuselage? Is close enough good enough - other than moving the wings saddles for COG?
Also, I have the simple wing and the wing with ailerons - any info on assembling that second one or servo placement on the fuselage? Where should those servo brackets be in relation to
the rudder/elevator ones?

Sorry if I am making this more difficult than it really is!

Thanks - Pops

There is no mention of exactly where all the brackets go. As I recall there is one mention of how far back the front wing mount is from the end of the motor mount to give you a start on cg location. They are sensitive to cg changes. I am a glider flyer and honestly I do not find the Silly stick easy to fly. Luckily it is durable. Order extra props. They break on hard landings. Good luck.

Not easy to fly? Really? I think they are very easy to fly.

Placement on pretty much anything can be as you like. Just want to get the CG per the instructions.

Will post up some photos of the aileron wing for you. We need to update the instructions for this new wing we include now.

Thanks, Wayne! I am about to assemble the wing, so I will wait for your post!

Wayne, I did not mean to offend with my comment on the Silly Stick flying characteristics. As I mentioned I fly gliders. Slow floaters with just rudder and elevator. When those are trimmed out they fly themselves and just a nudge of rudder and the turn. To me the Silly Stick is a rocket. Darts around the sky like a humming bird.
On another topic I am a loyal Aloft customer but have sadly had to look to other sources due to you being sold out of so many items. Is this a supply chain issue that will eventually resolve itself. I honestly don’t know if Aloft is a company of 500 employees or just you Jarron and a few others. Hate to see you lose profit you guys run a great business
Tom.

Hey Tom,

We are a small company with 3-1/2 employees. We struggle to keep things in stock, that is very true. Cash flow is not as strong as I would like it to be. We are inching in the right direction.

Jarron - Thank you so much! These pics will really help!
Double-sided tape to mount the servos?
